Wardrobe Careers Internship Program

Wardrobe Careers Internship Program

The Wardrobe Careers Internship program is a competitive paid internship opportunity for candidates interested in developing skills in customer service & retail sales. Career Wardrobe offers customer service training in a supportive environment that will prepare our interns for careers in sales and/or service. Applications are open three times per year.

Eligibility:  Internships are open to the public, with preference given to those pursuing careers in retail or fashion and/or enrolled in job training, re-entry, or educational (high school grades 11-12 or college) programs and/or referred through Career Wardrobe’s Referral Partner Members.  Interns should be able to commit to work 20 hours per week for the 12-week period, which may include evenings & Saturdays.

Internship Benefits:  During the 12-weeks, interns will learn & understand the importance of workplace norms & behaviors, specific retail & customer service skills, & employer expectations & responsibilities. Interns will be paid a stipend of $2,400 (based on $10/hour for up to 20 hours per week for 12 weeks) paid out twice a month. They will also be eligible for in-store discounts during their internship period.

Internship Periods:  Depending on funding, Career Wardrobe will run three cohorts of the Wardrobe Careers Internship Program annually – February 1 – April 30; June 1- August 30; & October 1 – December 31.   For each Internship Period, Career Wardrobe will select up to 4 interns for our Customer Service Internship.
