Parking:

There is free parking at the corner of Marshall Road and Windermere Avenue (just past The Wardrobe.) It is the same parking lot that a local court uses so please look for a sign for “court” parking and park only in spots marked “Wardrobe Resale.”

Public Transportation: From the 69th Street Transportation Center, take the 102 or 101 trolley to The Drexel Park stop. It is then a 9 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood.

To get to the 69th Street Transportation Center, take the Market Frankford (Blue) Line going westbound. 69th St. is the last stop.

My favorite part of being a site manager is merchandising the store and creating a welcoming environment for our donors, volunteers, and shoppers. I also enjoy meeting new individuals in our community who love what we do and want to support our mission.

Vintage clothing and accessories are some of my favorite items to receive from our donors. We like to keep a mix of modern and timeless pieces in our shop to keep things funky and interesting for our customers.

Last year, we had a woman come to us for clothing who was very unfamiliar with us and she was so grateful for our help. She cried and confided in me her difficult journey and loss of a very close family member that year and felt that we had lifted her spirits right before the holiday season. It was very touching and made me appreciate the work we do even more. You never know who will walk in the door and what their story might be that brought them to us.

I would say my style is very 80’s/90’s influenced. I wear alot of vibrant colors and patterns and heavily accessorize in my day to day. Everyone recognizes me by my jewelry. My favorite piece of clothing I like wearing to work are my vintage menswear Wrangler cargo pants. They are very comfortable and I wear them alot in the spring and fall months.

I’m excited to bring people a quality shopping experience here in Upper Darby. Many people rave about the selection of items we have and mention having to travel far and wide to find a good second hand store that meets all of our shopping needs. We are lucky to be a part of our such a supportive community.

Mix it up and wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Don’t be afraid to accessorize- sometimes a handbag, scarf, or even a pair of earrings can make a huge statement.

I would love to manage a Wardrobe site in West Philly. We would do very well in that area especially being close to the universities. It would also be great to work close to home- I live in West Philly.
