If entering through the main entry, you will head left once you see the reception desk. We are located at the end of the long hallway on the right-hand side, before the bathrooms.

Public Transportation: Take the Manayunk/Norristown Line or Norristown Regional Rail line to Norristown Transit Center. It is then about an 8 minute walk to Monto SAAC.

I love managing our Norristown location because of the community. Being located in the Senior Center allows for an environment that immediately feels lively and homey. The Center is an old elementary school and I used to teach, so the physical space is comforting, and it’s nice to see so many of the same people everyday; it’s a bit like being back in the ‘”classroom” but with a new mission.

I have a few regular senior shoppers that are always on the lookout for nice pieces to wear to church. It is so sweet to watch them have fun putting outfits together and then pick out the right jewelry that makes their church friends envious!

I love to receive unique pieces; things that are a little wild in color, style or pattern. When I find a piece that is quirky and makes me imagine the life it previously had, or the life it will go on to have, it’s a good day. I also love to evaluate the footwear and make sure people are going home with shoes that really fit.

I would say my style is predominantly natural, with playfulness that typically comes from color or texture, and I like to finish my outfits with a more simple or refined feminine touch like jewelry or a hair accessory. I tend to gravitate towards “basic” and functional pieces that can mix and match throughout the seasons and for a variety of occasions.

My secret to style is to have fun playing with it! The only way to figure out how to wear texture, color, print, layers, accessories etc to create a desired look and shape can only be figured out through trial and error. Have fun making choices that really don’t work, to learn which ones do! My other secret (that I’m very vocal about) is to wear more color!

I look forward to bringing the community a local shopping spot where they can find a good deal and a good conversation.

If I could manage one other Wardrobe site I probably wouldn’t; the Senior Center and I were destined to be!  But I love putting together Wardrobe Boxes for program participants. I find so much fulfillment in the entire process of selecting coordinating pieces, tenderly packaging them up, and writing a thoughtful note for a fun, and needed, gift.
