(Philadelphia) – In 2009, Wardrobe Boutique in Philadelphia opened as a stand-alone resale store to support Career Wardrobe’s mission of providing clothing for people in transition. This year Career Wardrobe celebrates the 10th anniversary of resale by opening a second public shopping and service location this summer at 62 West Marshall Road in Lansdowne, PA.
In line with the Philadelphia location, the Delaware County site will offer high-end resale clothing and accessories for all genders, as well as provide free apparel and services to clients from referral partners. A soft opening is planned for mid-August with a Grand Opening on Monday, September 16, the 10-year anniversary of The Wardrobe Resale ribbon cutting in Philadelphia.
Career Wardrobe also marks this occasion by realizing a long-term goal – using the retail store as a training environment for those interested in careers in fashion, retail, or customer service. With funding from corporate and foundation partners, both boutiques are able to offer paid internships where participants will learn valuable job skills in a supportive environment.
Wardrobe Careers Internships are open to anyone interested in pursuing a career in retail and customer service, especially those who have had difficulty successfully transitioning to permanent employment.
