Work It! Helps Job-Seeking Women Perfect Their Online Image

PHILADELPHIA – For more than 20 years, Career Wardrobe has been helping individuals make a good first impression at job interviews. But with the changing job market, your first impression today could be your social media profile.

Social media sites provide a new opportunity for individuals to help or hurt their professional image. Work It! is an event dedicated to helping unemployed individuals create a professional image in person and online.

On Mon., July 10, up to 30 participants will receive a professional outfit and makeover, 1:1 networking instruction, a professional headshot, and assistance in creating or updating a LinkedIn profile. At the conclusion of the day, participants will join Career Wardrobe board members and volunteers for a networking event to show off their newly developed skills.

Special guest speakers include Jena Burgess, the CEO and Founder of Coach Jena B. LLC, an early career success consulting firm focused on development for students and professionals; and Linda Hollenback, M.S.E.d., C.P.R.W., of Hollenback Consulting who will be presenting to clients about maximizing their LinkedIn presence.
