Career Wardrobe’s Work It event was spectacular! This past Monday, January 27, 2014, 35 participants and a host of volunteers, board members and staff gathered at Career Wardrobe to engage in professional networking, to give presentations, and to receive stunning mini-makeovers for professional headshots. One Work It participant wanted to personally thank Career Wardrobe for the wonderful services that were provided for her.
“Career Wardrobe’s staff is friendly, helpful and full of smiles for you. I plan to become a volunteer in the near future. The Work It! event helped me as a female professional.”
Deanna Weeks, a former employee of the City of Philadelphia, is a woman who works diligently to advocate for mothers who experienced the loss of a child through violence. This, in turn has given her added passion to attend college to study to be an Art Therapist. Once she obtains her degree, Ms. Weeks wishes to use her expertise to help patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
What a wonderful way to kick off 2014. We are excited for the days ahead! Despite the bitter cold temperatures, it is possible to Work It during the winter season.
