There is so much going on at Career Wardrobe this month we have our heads spinning! Our Blitz Basics seminar was held yesterday and what a hit! A full house of eager and ambitious women wanting to learn more. Our very own Caitlin Day (education and outreach manager) did a fantastic job of planning and presenting this seminar. Provided with a power hour of breakfast and coffee, these ladies were nothing less than motivated. Covering four topics, this seminar is held each month to review and educate our clients on resume skills and writing, cover letter writing, interviewing methods and techniques as well as networking tools and resources. If you need some help preparing for your next job, make sure to join us next month for Blitz Basics.

Meanwhile, we have new volunteers, new interns and new events on our calendar. Coming up in September you have several clothing drives in center city, east falls and the main line. Donate or volunteer, we don’t care which one, just pick! We are always in need of helping hands to sort and organize our clothing drives. With that, volunteering can also include helping at The Wardrobe Boutique where you can organize their clothing, tag new donations and assist customers in their shopping experience. We never turn away volunteers, so if you are looking for a change and want to help your community, sign up with us today.

You still have the chance to sign up and volunteer with us for our annual tea event. This year, Empowering 18 Tea and Fashion Show presented by EY, will be held on November 3rd from 1-4pm at the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. We have several committees that you can join to help us prepare and execute this event. This afternoon tea event and fashion show celebrate connecting women to work and their independence. Showcasing local fashion designers and boutiques as well as raffles, networking and our course, some afternoon tea! It’s not too late…You can still join in a committee. Read over our committee descriptions and if interested please contact Heather at

However you decide to participate we appreciate your help. Your donations are plentiful, your volunteer hours are beneficial and your desire to be part of our team is inspiring.
