Of course not the very last weekend, but the last weekend in July 2013 is finally here! With some cooler weather and booming events make sure to get outside with your walking shoes. From festivals, movies, gardens and sports, there’s something for everyone. With only a 20% chance of rain on Saturday, be sure to make the most of it. Stop in The Wardrobe Boutique and check out their summer savings! Currently they are running 20% off all tops and 50% off all swim suits. The mannequins are sporting their hot new summer looks just for you! Once you have your new bold look, head on over to the river front, or East Passyunk, or the Art Museum. Take your pick because no matter what direction you head this city is sizzling!
On Saturday; The American Swedish Historical Museum celebrates their 3rd annual Smorgasbeer’d Festival. Find Swedish treats, drinks and tours. Down by the Riverfront is the annual Mad Decent Block Party. Trickle into Morgans Pier for some extending tunes and fun! Rittenhouse Square is holding their farmers market while The Oval will be showing some classic flicks. On Sunday; head back down south to East Passyunk for the 8th annual Car Show. This isn’t all about the grill. Find five stages, six outdoor bars, circus acts, craft shows and countless food vendors. So while you ‘oooo and ahhhhh’ over those shinny rims, indulge in famous Philly traditions. Also, be sure to ‘pop’ in one of PHS’s ‘Pop-Up’ Gardens. Relax in a calm, green environment. With picnic tables, chairs and comfy recliners, you can enjoy a beer or just the open air. For the sports lover; Eagles are in town! Catch them on Sunday at the Linc. This is their first practice in Philadelphia this year and it will be open to the public starting at 12pm.
So are you excited or what?! What a weekend packed full of activities and summer treats. Make sure to stop on by The Boutique first. With all these events happening why wouldn’t you want a dazzling new summer dress? We look forward to seeing you this weekend and hearing about your trip through town!
