Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet, and the winds long to play with your hair.
— Kahlil Gibran
April 22nd is Earth Day, celebrated around the world. It’s a day to celebrate all that nature provides and do a little extra to give back so that our planet continues to thrive. What steps are you taking to ensure our children inherit a planet worth living on?
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
Remember to recycle your plastic bottles, paper bags. Reuse your plastic bags or even better, use the cloth ones you buy for $1 at the grocery store. Some stores will even give you a few cents back for using them! Bottles aren’t the only thing to recycle. Recycle clothing, children’s toys, household goods by donating them on to your freinds, congregations or worthy charities where they can do the most good.
We encourage you to go outside and celebrate all that this planet provides. Embrace the wind in your hair, the ground beneath your feet, the sounds of the birds singing each morning and evening. Our world is one thing we all have in common. Let’s celebrate that in light of the world’s events of last week.
