The Wardrobe helps you sparkle for less!
Our annual Prom-o-Rama sale makes prom dresses affordable for all teens and budgets.
Racks of new and gently used prom dresses starting at only $40… up to 90% off retail prices.
Donations of dresses will be accepted starting in January.
Prom-o-Rama kicks off every year in March.
Career Wardrobe’s annual Prom-O-Rama offers new and used dresses, shoes, and accessories at up to 90% off! This event offers local students the opportunity to choose from a variety of quality dresses and accessories, get personalized styling support from Career Wardrobe staff, and get treated like they are at a high-end department store or shop – all offered at an accessible price point. We don’t want anyone to miss prom simply because they can’t afford a dress they feel good in!
Why is this important?
As a high schooler, and especially from a lower-income household, students face many challenges, but we want to help inspire them to persevere through the good and the bad with their head held high. Prom-O-Rama aligns with the Career Wardrobe mission because through clothing, and the experience of obtaining clothing with respect and dignity, we seek to empower students to feel confident and be themselves.
How can you help?
You can help us make Prom-O-Rama a success this year! Please consider a donation to allow us to offer this program to as many students as possible, make prices even lower, and provide sponsored dresses to those who may need an extra helping hand this year.
- A donation of $40 can provide a student with a prom dress!
- A donation of $75 can provide a student with a dress, shoes, necklace, and handbag!
- A donation of any amount – $15, $25, or $100 – can subsidize program costs and allow students to pay even less!
Remember, your donation not only provides access to a dress, but also offers hope.
Thank you for supporting Prom-O-Rama!
Did you know we help students throughout the year?
The Prom-O-Rama is just one of the ways Career Wardrobe inspires confidence in our region’s youth. In addition, several high school based non profits including Communities in Schools and Congreso partnered with Career Wardrobe to provide its Gateway to Success job readiness education curriculum to pregnant and parenting students as part of its ELECT initiative. This program provides a wide range of services that these students need to succeed as parents, students and citizens. In addition, Career Wardrobe participates in the Philadelphia Youth Network WorkReady internship program and offers other high school interns with job training and education.
