Career Wardrobe Referral Policies
Policies for Referring a Participant
First Time Appointment
The contact person for the referring agency must call and make an appointment. Your client should be nearing, or already have completed a job readiness program and be in the interviewing process.
When calling, please have your:
- Client's name
- Program Name & Referral Partner ID number
- Program's Telephone Number
- Name of approved Case Manger/Client Agent/Program Coordinator's Name
If you are making appointments for more than five (5) clients, the contact must fax a Participant Appointment List no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
If there is a need to cancel an appointment, call The Career Wardrobe and leave a message no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Please emphasize to the client the importance of keeping the scheduled appointment and being on time! Due to a tight schedule, please remember that an appointment missed without notification means another woman went without our services. Clients who do not keep their appointments are still counted towards yearly appointments made.
The contact person should also emphasize that the client may NOT bring friends or relatives (including children) to the appointment. Clients coming with friends, relatives or children will automatically be rescheduled -- no exceptions.
A client that is more than 15 minutes late for her appointment and does not call to notify The Wardrobe will be rescheduled at The Wardrobe's discretion.
Follow-up Visit*
Once the client has obtained employment, the client may call to schedule a FOLLOW-UP visit with proof of employment.
- Proof of employment may consist of a letter from either the Referral Partner contact person, or new employer, or the clients pay stub.
- Only FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT may be scheduled by the client.
The client should have a copy of the proof of employment with her on the day of her appointment.
As stated above in the first time visit, a client that is more than 15 minutes late for her appointment and does not call to notify The Wardrobe will be rescheduled at The Wardrobe's discretion.
*A client already employed and visiting The Career Wardrobe for the first time will be eligible to recieve a weeks worth of clothing consisting of three outfits from our separates and work appropriate sections and be considered as complete in our program.
Please see our Appropriate Outfits page for the allotted clothing amount.
